At the moment, none. Smile But in the future it'll most likely be a Windows Mobile 5 device with an XScale (ARM) processor. It sounds promissing that there are versions available for similar PDAs.

Where can I download the binary drivers? Are there any open source drivers available?

There are no drivers needed. Only plugin itself. TCPMP will be open source. WMP will not be at the moment.

I think I'm confused as to how the Car2PC works. Isn't it a USB device? If so, how does it present itself to the OS? If it's not a run-of-the-mill USB device (like mass storage, etc.) then you'd need a special driver for it. What am I missing?

Car2PC is a modular thing. It can communicate over different means.
USB addon or serial addon possible at this point. Serial is used for PDA version

The PDA that I'm currently looking at using Car2PC with is the PPC 6700 (Sprint version). I'm not sure it has a RS-232 port on it. Anyone?

In the event that it doesn't have a serial port and I have to use USB, do I need a driver then? If not, what do I need?

Also, is there an Car2PC SDK/API available or either the serial or USB interface?

Thanks so much for the help.

For devices like yours I would suggest waiting for bluetooth solution. It should be out in nearest future.

I'm a little confused regarding this subject, please appologize if this question has already been answered.

I have a Qtek 9100 / Cingular 8125 / HTC Wizard Windows Mobile 5 PDA with a mini USB connector. An I have the VW/Audi Car2PC USB Adapter. Can I connect both using a USB2miniUSB adapter and then control WMP on the PDA with the Audi head unit? Or do I need this "TCPMP" (btw, what is this?)?

If you have the newer model of Car2PC then you wil be able to use it with your mobile device by getting addon board.
For older design it is not possible unfortunatelly Sad
