|
|
Hi,
Just wanted to release the PyCar for touchscreen and EPIA-M platform.
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=86491
There are 2 ISOs. The one without f for Lilli, the f is for Xenarc and TSView or whatever noname TS monitors you may have.
These features supported:
Code: |
- mp3, ogg, wma, aac audio files playback
- avi, mpg video files playback
- cddb support
- playlists support
- settings
- logos
- splashscreens
- EPIA-M only
|
These features still waiting for 1.3.1 release:
Code: |
- autoinstal onto the HDD
- video seeking
- video playlists
|
These tricks may help you in having more fun with the release:
Code: |
- Turn on caching if you see movie stalls or jerking. Set to 160 for 256M or 420 for 512M( Settings->Advanced->Cache size )
- If you see that your touchscreen is not adequate, go to Settings->General->Adjust TS input and adjust the TS( flip x,y and calibrate )
- Keyboard is supported. Active selection is always different from inactive items. You can use either arrows or tab to move to the next selection.
- If your monitro is not 16:9 just change the aspect ration in Settings->Video Settings->Aspect ratio
- After you make changes to the settings, restart the PyCar by pressing X icon in the main menu
- If you run PyCar from CD you won't be able to save your settings after you restart the PC
|
Here are some pics with the screenshots:
Main screen:
Audio playing
Playlists list
Video preview
Have fun !

Hi!
I just tried the Lilliput version... it works!
The only problem is the splashscreen. It shows the VW logo, no progress bar and the text-line is messed up (longest lines are not cleaned).
I think you're working on it, aren't you?
Keep up the good work!!
bye! |

Yes, the progress and VW logo will be fixed soon.
Text in the bottom cannot be hidden as splash=silent crashes the kernel so I disabled it. Will clean it up after some other good things... |

Hmm, my liliput touchscreen didn't work with the "no f" ISO image. I thought maybe I hooked it up wrong, so I hooked the liliput's USB up to my laptop and I could see the touchkitusb being recognized in dmesg's output. Is there something else I'm supposed to do?
I haven't actually tried to use the touchscreen before, so I don't know if it actually works. I'd sure hate to think it's bad, though
Is there a device I could cat to make sure the touchscreen is generating output? |

Try image 1.3.0.1 and cat /dev/input/mice to see the signal. |

|
|
Hello,
since I'm not know python programming (I'm PERL programmer), and I can't help you. I can build gentoo releases for your pycar.
I can try the unichrome driver to play DVD with mpeg-2 with hardware acceleration. But I need to know your make.conf file to build the same gentoo.
thanks. |
