I was wondering, since the original creator(s) of Pymedia seem to have abandoned the project, why don't we resume development?

We could find people who are experienced in C, C++ and/or Python and ask them to help. Maybe we could even start a donation pool to provide a monetary incentive.

Any thoughts?
