I want to "pad" sound files with a stretch of silence at the beginning and another one at the end. (FWIW, the stretch at the beginning should be 2 seconds long, and the duration of the one at the end is proportional to the duration of the original file.)

Can I do this with PyMedia? If so, could someone give me some guidance? I could not find anything like this in the documentation. (FWIW, the files are currently in AIFF format, but I suppose I could convert them to another format if that'd simplify the padding operation.)

TIA!

K
