Hello,
I see on my HU the adapter is playing MP3, but there's no sound. It's even not possible to switch to USB, only AUX and I-pod.
My USB stick is FAT16 and all MP3's are in 6 subfolders. |

Hi,
The problem is that there's no sound at all, no announcements also.
If I switch, the display shows AUXILAIRY or IPOD or when it's in USB mode, the name of the artist and tracktitle but not the letters USB. When I remove the USB stick it only shows AUXILAIRY or IPOD.
I tried several sticks, FAT 16 and 32, did a software update, checked the wiring, started the car but it made no sense at all.
It's the metal version ordered on the 31th of decembre 2009. |

Did you check if audio part of the cable wired correctly ?
Try to disconnect the 6 pin cable and touch pins with fingers while having volume to max |

Cables are wired correctly, they fit only one way.
touching the pins with fingers by maximum volume does not make any difference.
Tomorrow a friend with the same car and GROM box will test his device in my car and vice versa to see if it's a problem in the car or the device or the cable set. |

And there was sound!!
Earlier I'd build in a Parrot carkit were I needed an extra connector for
the businessradio to plug in the original connector, but I forgot to switch
the cd changer audio cable to the Parrot connector before build back in the radio . All my fault! After I tried someone elses interface I knew I have to earch behind the radio.
@jbors, thanks for replying my messages |
