Hi all, I recently purchased a CAR2PC adapter for connecting my Pioneer head unit to my laptop PC. Unfortunately I cannot get it to work. The head unit does not see a CD changer, and I get no response to commands issued through grom_console.
This is from the data.log:
<Device 'CAR2PC <-> HU' 0000:0000 is connected and initialized
>vr
I have tried both the virtual serial port driver and the FTD2xx, I've also tried the FT clean utility to remove drivers before I start. In both cases I see the expected CAR2P2<->HU device in device manager, driver provider FTDI version 1.6.20.0.
I've proved the cable is correctly plugged into the headunit as I can get sound by switching it to aux and hear something playing on the laptop.
Power is correct or I dont get the device when I plug in the usb.
So is there anything else can I try to find out where the fault is?
Cheers,
Phooey. |
