I'm sure you support guys know me by now.

How are you all doing with getting this device to work 100% of the time?

I've seen at least 2 years of posts on the web with this very problem yet there has been no resolution at all.

Here are some more symptoms that may help your "team" of crack engineers...

1.) The GROM unit rarely restarts after one ignition cycle.
2.) If you cycle through your input selections, it usually takes two to hear "USB".
3.) I know when the unit goes dead because I always get the same 1-62 on the display. I think that 62 may represent the number of tunes on the stick.
4.) If you cycle through your input selections long enough, the "USB" option disappears completely.
5.) New firmware did nothing. Leaving the firmware on the stick does nothing. Changing sticks does nothing.

It also looks like you guys are doing the same.

You've had plenty of time to solve this problem and yet you've got the temerity to continue to advertise and sell this product even though you darn well know this thing is broken.

FIX IT NOW or your product and my experiences are going to get lots of airtime on every BMW forum I belong to.

Chris

I would suggest contacting support so they can see what the problem is.

We did not have any startup issues lately so I guess you may have either defective unit or compatibility issues.

UPDATE:

F/W version 31 and a SanDisk 2G thumb seems to be the answer.

The unit is performing flawlessly. I will update the forum if I see any more issues.
