I have an older CD/FM/AM Alpine stereo in my car. (circa 1998) Does anyone happen to know if Grom has an IPOD connector that would work with older ALPINE units like this.

ALPINE - CDA-7837 FM/AM Compact Disk Receiver

Somebody told me that it depends on car make and model, but I don't quite understand why this would be relevant considering the stereo is an after market manufacturer (ALPINE) and not the original vehicle manufactured radio.

Appreciate anybody's feedback or advice on this matter.

Yes MBUSI device will work for you. Just make sure you specify that you need HON92 cable.
