Hi,

I'm the owner of a 12/1999 Lexus IS200 Pack Luxe (France) with satnav, oem amplifier and 8 speakers. The headunit is the 13902.

I ordered you an ipod GROM interface on december 2007.

I quickly received it. Connectors fitted perfectly but unfortunately, my headunit did not recognize the interface. Batteries of the ipod are charging but it is impossible to hear anything.

You sent me a updated microchip one month later. It was not the good one.

After a little week, I received the "good" updated microchip. But.... the headunit continues to ignore the interface and so the ipod.

Sincerely, Marc

My invoice : 3958

That's strange. We tested it with all IS stereos we can find and also with 13902 and it worked.
Can you see if it will work in accessory mode when engine is off ?
Can you make sure you installed chip correctly ?

I checked connectors.
I tried with engine on and off.
I tried with different standings of my ipod classic 80Gb (sleep, reading, music menu, general menu).
I pushed long time and short time on the "cd" button when I'm on cd, on tape and on tuner. I also tried with no cd in the headunit.
For the chip, I put the triangle in the same way that the original one. I will try to put it in the other way this morning.

Hi.

I'm just back from my car. I got the microchip out and I put it in the other way like you advised me on yesterday.

The result is exactly the same. I can do everything I want, the oem headunit don't recognize the ipod (and the interface).

So, I tried with the first way of the microchip. But I have no better results....

Another idea ?

We are trying to confirm the problem locally.
Did you write about the problem to http://gromaudio.com/support.html ?
