|
|
I have just received my CAR2PC unit and am testing like mad.
Just a couple of questions.
I am having trouble displaying text on the HU.
If I send the command NM1234
The HU does not update. If I change the displayed information (DISC TITLE, ARTIST NAME, TRACK TITLE) on the HU, then the text appears.
Is there a sequence of commands for sending text to the HU?
My CAR2PC has firmware version 1 (I think - grom console returns VR010)
Should I upgrade to 1.2?
When the HU is showing the CD changer and nothing is playing it keeps sending PL every second or so.
Is this the correct behavior? I assume that the HU is trying to make the changer start playing.
The text thing is the bigest problem at the moment and I would appreciate any help.
Kind regards
Phil. |

The only way to update existing text on Pioneer is upon track change or cycling through the display mode.
I was not able to force stereo to display the text as it comes
I suggest upgrading to 1.1 as it solves some text and power issues. |

OK. Upgraded to 1.1 and tried as suggested and everything is OK. Just one little question. Does the adapter append an end of line character? If yes what is it
Thanks

No don't worry everything is OK, I was just wondering how to detect the start / end of a packet isong serial communication (I hate RS232)
