Xm firmware for GROM USB adapter will emulate XM.
Factory XM have to be disconnected.
Upon ignition cycle press AUX (XM) button, to activate the unit.
XM1 will be used for USB stick as shown below.
Song titles will cycle through and will show the Disk / Track / Time as shown below:
In order to show track title/ artist/ genre press DISP button.
The controls are:
Preset 1: Rewind Back
Preset 2: Random on/off
Preset 3: Fast Forward
Preset 5: Disk -
Preset 6: Disk +
SCAN: SCAN on/off
Tune/Folder: Change playlists (disks)
Switch to iPod mode press AUX (XM) once more, to XM2 channel. GROM USB will show as below:

| How about instructions on changing between USB and iPod Modes? The instructions on the doc section of the GROM website say to refer to the instructions that came with the unit, but I no longer have them. The website really needs to include a write up of all the functionalities of the XM emulation firmware. Everything seems to refer to the CD changer firmware. |

| Would this work for cars that dont have XM and still emulate text? |

The stereo should be able to control XM (no XM presence needed).
Usually all Honda/Acura radios 05+ are capable. |
