Hi,

Further to my email to the support address, I'm still not getting sound out of the right hand channels.

I was wondering if you could provide the pinouts for both connectors for the BMW CD Changer and Car2pc adapter so I can double check. I believe the attached pinout diagram is for the BMW CD Changer but a search around the internet has led to many varients.

Thanks in advance.
Tony

Long dead topic, maybe, but I wonder if this may be of use.

My BMW is a 2002 e39 model 530D. It is fitted with a standard Business Radio with a CD changer in the boot. The Business Radio has the 40-pin radio connector on it and I had problems initially getting ANY sound out of it. Found out that there are three versions of the audio header for the CD changer depending on the number of wires to the 6-pin CD-Changer cable. You can find three, four or five wires. Mine has four, so I based the attached diagram on that configuration.

Also - does anyone have a BMW cable that has the ACC lead (pin 10) connected? I cannot seem to get my adapter to wake up on the USB to get my PC to see it, and the Car2PC support team have helped, but not solved the issue for me. Very frustrating for me!! Rolling Eyes

Thanks all.

This old, I know, but I dug it out since I am experiencing the dead right channel on recent 2004 E46 purchase. I have only have 3 wires on the 6 pin connector for the trunk CDC. 1,2, & 4 are used. Is it the same as 4 wires without #3 ground? Why no SG for each side?

Yes, the audio is not balanced, so SG, R+. L+

Can you explain a bit? Sorry. Any reason you can think of that I get both channels fine with radio and in dash CD, but only right thru the CDC trunk harness?

I guess you have to check if the trunk wire is not damaged first.
