GromSrt utility is needed when files on USB stick do not play in alphabetical order on GROM-USB2 device.
For example you have the following files:
| Code: | My Album
A Day Of Life.mp3
See Who's out there.mp3
|
But when GROM-USB2 device play the folder My Album it plays See Who's out there.mp3 first and then A Day Of Life.mp3.
There are 2 wasy to resolve the problem:
1. Use numeric prefixes for all songs:
| Code: | My Album
1. A Day Of Life.mp3
2. See Who's out there.mp3

2. Use gromsrt.exe utility. This utility will make sure the GROM-USB2 play all songs in alphanumerical order. Just download the zip file, unpack to the flash drive and double click on it !
GromSrt utility work only on Windows.
Note - make sure you backup your USB storage before running GromSrt utility ! |

What does the Grom Sort Utility (gromsrt.exe) do exactly?
I down loaded it to a test USB stick and executed it. I expected the MP3 Files to be renamed with a consistent manner to get them to play in alphanumerical order, but the USB stick became corrupted and had to be reformatted.

Thanks. I will try them out.
For functionality, are these programs just batch scripts to rename music files .. such as add numbers to all files to force the play order?

Basically sorting them up in OS does not physically sort them on disk.
GROM can sort files perfectly when they have numbers in the name. If no number the physical disk order is used. So you need sort utility |
