Hi, I have the mbus adapter and I am trying to install the VCP driver on WinXP SP2...

Is the VCP driver even made for this adapter? XP does not allow me to use it and installs the old mbus driver from 2004 instead.

Anyone know another way to get a Com port on the mbus adapter?

You need to uninstall the driver first.
Remove any mention in inf directory for D2X driver (.inf files)
After that windows should be able to install VCP.

I have tried that now, but still it knows where the old driver was.

I have tried removing all I can find in registry as well, but it has no effect.
Do you have a list of files/registry settings that where installed with that driver?

If you'll take a look at the INF file in the installation folder all files are mentioned there.

Is it only me that have this problem? I have some strange problems with my Car2PC unit Jbors... First it was wired differently (I had to resolder it correctly to get the sound correct). Then I found that I can not use plugins made by others because my unit is programmed differently than others...

Now I finally found out how to install the VCP driver, and it was by changing the VID&PID values to match those of the driver that came with my Car2PC.

I'm now trying to use it with Centrafuse and a plugin being developed for Car2PC. Connecting Hyperterminal to the Car2PC I see that the commands are totally different. So it will not work with that plugin.

Is there a way to uppgrade my Car2PC?

My unit is sending Track002 when pressing next, and then Track003 and so on.. For previus it sends current number -1 so for Track001 it sends Track099 for Track002 it sends Track001 and so on...

Pressing Disc1 does nothing unless I am on Disk2, dont remember the exact command but it was sending something like Disk2 Track001 for the Disk2 button and so on...

Here is a log from different key presses.

Code:
TR002 TR002 TR003 TR002 TR001 TR099 FF1 FF0 FR1 FR0 DS002 TR001 DS003 TR001 DS004 TR001

NextTrack = Current track +1 = TR002
PrevTrack = Current track -1 = TR099
FF = FF1 When pressed and FF0 when released
FR = FR1 When pressed and FR0 when released
Disk1 = Nothing (Guess this changes when I am on Disk 2 - 6)
Disk2 = DS002 TR001
Disk3 = DS003 TR001
Disk4 = DS004 TR001
Disk5 = DS005 TR001
Disk6 = DS006 TR001[/code]
