|
|
Hi
Just wondering when the USB PC adapter to interface with the MOST bus on a BMW (E90) will be available?
I'm using bluetooth and my smartphone to communicate with my CarPC currently, but i'm aching to get it all integrated in using the head unit LCD/stereo buttons if possible.
Cheers

New in the forum and Interested in the IP bus to USB PC connection.
Installed Pioneer Avic Z1-Indash Nav in an A4, The unit also have AV IP bus for TV tuner input.
Can you use this for Video (MP4, divx...) and Audio (MP3, WMA...)?
Can USB provide power to CarPC?
and the head unit is touchscreen, wondering if CarPC can be controlled via touchscreen.
thanks,
A4rium |

i arent 100% on this as i know very little about this project just what has been said here.
it will not work for video at the moment, i dont know if that is something they will do in the future, but i suspect not as i imaging it would be a lot of difficulty.
you are refering to your pioneer headunit with built in touchscreen that you use the touchscreen to control the headunit itself? i think im pretty safe saying you cannot use that touchscreen to control the carpc. you can use it to display the picture of the car pc via the auxillary video inputs on the headunit if your computer has a svideo/composite (single yellow rca) output. pioneer do not have any output from the touchscreen which can connect to a pc. you need a seperate touchscreen designed for computers and cars.
what exactly do you mean by "can usb provide power to CarPC?
the carpc requires its own powersource, and the usb in the CarPC provides power to the usb devices if they require less than 500ma, or 1amp if they use two usb ports.
and a question for jbors...
any news on how things are going?? i am vbery eager as usual and waiting patiently for it |

This adapter is pretty much completed and we sent it for beta testing already.
I agree with Clint on almost everything.
But I would say there is a high chance that touchscreen will wok in some extent as Pioneer seem to send most ot its events to the bus. |

Hello!
Can you say wat kind of BUSes in Honda Saber 2000? I disassemb. build in Sound system and find connector for CD-CHANGER with R+/-,L+/-,B+/-,GND busses. With out B+/- build in Navigation system don't turn on. I think that is bus wires. Can I replase standart sound system with my own? How to emulate this BUS?
I can build MC devises and so on, but I need protocol. HELP.
May be we can talk on Russian? jbors, on mp3car forum you writedown as Dmitriy, russian name or not? |
