Hello NuclearAlien,

sounds funny. I've never seen those problems. The only difference I've found is that I copied the contents of the packages and ramdisk to /dev/hda2 and added hda2 to syslinux.cfg as root. So I don't have to mount it because it's already mounted by the kernel.

My syslinux.cfg looks like this:

Code:

default pycar
display logo.txt

label pycar
        kernel vmlinuz
        append root=/dev/hda2 acpi=on max_loop=64 splash=silent ide2=noprobe de3=noprobe vga=0x314 video=viafb:800x600,bpp=16,TVtype=1

[EDIT]
I've found a difference. You have to edit the rc.startup script because the packages are extracted there. This will overwrite all the changes you've made. So just comment out the part where the packages are extracted,
[/EDIT]

Greets, David

Another dumb question Sad

Pycar doesn't show the OS loading screen, instead it shows the console (I haven't changed anything)

Also, after loading, the main screen is shifted... imagine moving everything down 200px, when the pixels going out of the screen's buttom appear from the top of it. It fixes itself after going into a subscreen.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
