Guys,
Here is the kernel patches I took over from the internet and made some changes to it.
Epia1-patch
Via fb patch
Kernel config file

Here is what I do:
1. Get kernel 2.4.23
2. Unzip it to the location you want
3. Get first patch and apply it to the kernel:
Code:
zcat patch-2.4.23-epia1.gz | patch -p0

4. Get second patch and apply it in the same fashion:
Code:
zcat patch-2.4.23-epia2-viafb.gz | patch -p0

5. Then go to the kernel directory and do:
Code:
make config

6. After config file is generated, place .config from my site and then:
Code:
make bzImage

After all these steps you should get the working kernel as I use in my indashpc.
It includes all the drivers compiled into the kernel. supermount, USB dev, OSS, USB 2.0, Lan, viafb, most of the filesystems people use, just look at the config file for all options.

In order to enable accelerated framebuffer use this line for kernel parameters:
Code:
kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.23 ro root=/dev/hdc2 video=viafb:800x600,bpp=16,TVtype=1

Enjoy.

Just got it recompiled and included SCSI support.
Somehow USB support dependent in SCSI bus.
But now it takes any HID or USB storage devices like sharm. I'm impressed !
Here is the config file.
